About Datavolo

Datavolo is a tool for data engineers supporting AI teams. It provides a framework and a catalog of repeatable patterns to build multimodal data pipelines which are secure, simple, and scalable. Data engineers need tools to build multimodal pipelines across the continuum of foundational model integration and customization and Datavolo’s mission is to make them successful. Datavolo supports data and AI engineers across the continuum of in-context learning from prompt engineering to advanced RAG to agent API integration.


As a Developer Relations Engineer at Datavolo, you will be responsible for creating educational content that reflects Datavolo's innovation and serves not only our community of practitioners, but the data engineering community at large. You will bring your experience in the data and AI space to bear not only on our product, but on current needs and future predictions about the industry as a whole. You will inform how Datavolo can ever-better serve our developers, customers, and partners now and in the future.


Job Responsibilities

  • Driving awareness and adoption of Datavolo throughout the data engineering and developer and partner community
  • Uncovering the common issues self-serve users face in Datavolo, and create content such as tutorials, example notebooks, docs guides, or videos to help them through those issues
  • Engaging with users on the Datavolo forums, on social channels, and in hackathons to answer common questions and help them get started with Datavolo
  • Scale outreach via videos, blog posts, tutorials, and educational training
  • Create demos for use at first-party and third-party events and courses
  • Create tutorials and examples for the community and Datavolo customers and partners

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ year of developer relations experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical role such as software engineering, solutions engineering, or machine learning
  • 3+ years of experience in an external facing role or equivalent experience through community or open source contributions
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, orchestration, ELT/ETL
  • Familiarity with the modern AI stack: LLMs, vector databases, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 10–20% of the year throughout the US for events
  • (Preferred, not required) Existing social media presence (YouTube, etc.) or an interest in creating one
